|Rule Text||Blocking may be defined as the administration of any local anesthetic, or other agent, todesensitize a portion of a leg either locally by infiltration of the tissues, regionally byadministration directly over a nerve, or by injection directly into a joint space, tendon sheath,or bursa for the purpose of desensitization of a painful condition. These practices are prohibitedafter a horse is entered to race. The use of ice is not prohibited.
