GOVERNOR DAVIS APPOINTS MEMBER TO CALIFORNIA HORSE RACING BOARD

SACRAMENTO—Governor Gray Davis today announced the appointment of Alan W. Landsburg as a member to the California Horse Racing Board.

Alan W. Landsburg, 67, from Beverly Hills, is the founder and CEO of the Landsburg Company and has over 2000 hours of television production experience. He has been involved in producing over 50 movies of the week as well as writing and producing a Peabody Award-wining series with Mike Wallace. Mr. Landsburg was also the executive producer of the National Geographic specials from 1965 to 1970. He is a director and a founding member of the Thoroughbred Owners of California. Mr. Landsburg earned a bachelor of arts degree from New York University.

Members do not receive a salary. This position requires Senate confirmation.
